Dialogue Toolkit
The Dialogue Toolkit consists of a series of participatory exercises bringing together Dialogue Theatre and Conflict Transformation methodologies. It includes exercises that have been developed over decades of theatre & conflict practice into powerful techniques to adapt and apply in community, workplace, and educational contexts. The Dialogue Toolkit program extends from Small Dialogue Tools to a 4-5 day masterclass that steps through 4 processes.
Step 1 - Naming Conflict
Mapping conflict concerns, positions, & interests via creative play and Image Theatre improvisations
Step 2 - Unpacking Conflict
Exploring power, identity, stereotyping, dilemma, complexity, and the Other to reflect on ourselves and unpack conflict scenarios of interest
Step 3 - Transforming Conflict
Modelling ideas for change through spatial exercises and scenario improvisations including stepping into the other's shoes, disruption, and social transformation
Step 4 - From Conflict to Dialogue
Dialogue role playing using the workshopped Dialogue Theatre techniques addressing themes of empathy, grievance, reconciliation, and transformation
